"Actions Speak Louder Than Words"



The only agency of the United States Government that has ever created more wealth than it has destroyed is the National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA). The innovations developed from this single agency touch our lives in ways that most cannot imagine. From the preparation of our food, to the clothes we wear, from communication to transportation the list is endless.

A man of great foresight stepped forward to lead a nation. He dared us to be great. His vision became our dream. John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) said, "We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too."

His words electrified a nation. We were in the midst of a recession and many were in far worse condition than today. The people of that time lived within their means and did not expect a government handout. JFK cut taxes and unleashed the great machine of capitalism. We embarked on one of the greatest adventures of all time. From the young to the old all were mesmerized by seven explorers that dared to venture into the unknown. The seven original Mercury Astronauts were like the knights of old in a new Camelot. President Kennedy told us, "the growth of our science and education will be enriched by new knowledge of our universe and environment, by new techniques of learning and mapping and observation, by new tools and computers for industry, medicine, the home as well as the school. Technical institutions, such as Rice, will reap the harvest of these gains."
Why did John Kennedy take us to the moon? "Many years ago the great British explorer George Mallory, who was to die on Mount Everest, was asked why did he want to climb it. He said, "Because it is there."
"Well, space is there, and we're going to climb it, and the moon and the planets are there, and new hopes for knowledge and peace are there. And, therefore, as we set sail we ask God's blessing on the most hazardous and dangerous and greatest adventure on which man has ever embarked."

That day in 1962 at Rice University, JFK stepped into the world of history as a man of great vision and a great leader. He placed no energy into driving an agenda. He drove a dream.

It has been forty-eight years since John Kennedy gave that speech. We now have a new leader. Another man of great intellect now leads the nation into a new frontier. His vision is the exact opposite of Kennedy's. Where JFK was bold Barack Obama (BO) is faint. Where JFK dared BO cringed. Where JFK drove a dream BO drove an agenda.
The greatest generator of capital created by a Government, NASA, has been hobbled. A man lacking vision has instead saw fit to pursue an agenda. He has taken the assets of NASA and decided to use them to monitor the environment of good old planet Earth. Even though the religion of man made global warming has been proven to be a progressives fairy tale BO has spoken. He has taken the greatest race horse the world has ever known and chained it to a plow.

I do believe that a mans actions speak far louder than his words.

DON'T BASK, DON'T SELL



Of all the wrongheaded measures Obama and the Democrat majorities in Congress have tried this year, they are about to impose an even more outrageous one: abolishing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in the military. This “workable compromise” has allowed active homosexuals to serve their country in the armed forces with less commotion than usual. But now they insist on the commotion.

“Usual commotion ” caused by homosexuals in military outfits have been well hidden by the dominant left-wing media. And this commotion is real poison!

Every former military commander, including myself, can tell stories about how a few sexual deviants can utterly destroy unit cohesion, morale and discipline. Once in the open, everything ugly is now unleashed in a tight military setting: sexual imposition, mental cruelty, bribery, open sodomy in the barracks, envy, blackmail, disease, false accusations, conduct unbecoming officers, brutal assaults and 20 other crimes become exposed, but not often reported.

The unity in a fighting command can be destroyed by open homosexuality in the ranks. Rank is primarily the reason why.

There is a mighty big difference between a private and a sergeant; between a lieutenant and a major. There are 23 distinct ranks (from E-1 to O-10) in most branches of service. In some settings, a person only one rung above you can order you to your death. That person above you can make your life easy, or a living hell.

Sexual imposition on the part of a superior usually leads to living hell.

“Well, you knew I was gay, why did you invite me in?”

On the flip side, false charges from underlings and “righteous victims” have ruined many a career. Havoc and mutiny are not unheard of when lower ranking men and women refuse unnatural advances.

And rumors, both true and false, can change esprit de corps to “esprit de corpse” (pun intended).

The mission of our military is to defend our country by winning wars. Or providing a show of power, which prevents war. Social engineering to make homosexuality “moral and accepted,” if ever possible, is way second.

We already have a cacophony of “discrimination” cases bogging down our military missions. Everyone who is not a tall, athletic, Caucasian, white male has a case.

Will we now add everyone who is not a tall, athletic, Caucasian, white, heterosexual male?

In the future, will any officer who alludes to a problem with homosexuality be the equivalent of General Patton smacking a coward?

When the rule “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” is changed, regardless of what euphemistic name it is given, it will especially emphasize “don’t dare ask” without Mirandizing the entire outfit. As far as “tell,” there will be plenty of that in your face. Count on it.

“Yes, me and my subordinate are in a lesbian relationship, sir.”

“Now, are you going to make trouble for me on my next fitness report?”

If enacted, the new rules will have to involve major revisions in the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), which has served so well for many generations. Further, our military chaplains will all have to be retrained in what is morally right, regardless of what Bible or Koran has taught them. Political correctness and Cultural Marxism will get a big boost.

And our military, as with all American institutions, except central government, will grow weaker.

To many in the military, the inevitable “sensitivity re-training” on Homosexual Rights in the Military will be like a Marxist re-education camp. Enlistments and re-enlistments will fall. And our true military missions will be further weakened for the sake of a “politically correct” agenda.

After this “homosexual transparency” is pushed, expect a rash of billeting quarrels, transfer requests, distrust, false rumors, barracks violence, AWOLs and desertions. Then, an increase in lawsuits, phony “hate crimes,” and all manner of Gay, Lesbian & Bisexual Military clubs will appear, along with more gay enlistments.

Why is such action needed, other than to pander to a militant (but hardly military) homosexual agenda? Does the current regime actually want a breakdown in our national security and another dose of chaos to help destroy America?

What's Wrong with Socialism? Just This.



So, a lot of people are calling Barack Obama a socialist, and his minions a regime promoting non-stop Socialism. A lot of good “progressive” European, South American and Asiatic governments could be described as Socialist. So what’s wrong with that?

First, there is the tricky matter of definitions. What exactly is Socialism? Is it the same as liberalism, a progressive welfare state, Marxism, or Communism? Essentially, ALL are political economies involving “forced charity,” where the community organizers get the real goodies: they (the organizers/bureaucrats/politicians) get the lion’s share of the goodies.

Speaking of lions, a baby lion, or a year old cub, the experienced lioness, or a seasoned predator, such as the mean-tempered old male who rules the pride, are all lions. The extent of their predation is quite different, but they all “eat other animals.” Or at minimum, make other animal lives a living hell.

Some independent animals occasionally stand up against the lions. Especially the bigger animals, or small ones brave enough to “team up against the lions.”

But even the big animals, which mostly can take care of themselves, lose their children (or their futures) on a regular basis. Eventually big, strong animals become old and weak, and that’s when the predators “move in.”

While lions are universally feared, some of the animals make out fine from lion predations; they get to eat part of the big kills, the leftovers. Most of these creatures make their living off what lions leave after they take their fill. These animals are grateful to lions for providing for them, haphazard as it sometimes becomes.

Effective propaganda would tell you that lions “do a lot of good for the environment, besides, we can’t do much about them anyway, without endangering ourselves.”

Or, “those of you with parasitic instincts will make out best living under the rule of lions…they will take care of you!” Until, of course, it’s your turn to be eaten.

“From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”

However, predators have more needs.

That, folks, is Socialism in a nutshell. The bloody shades of redness are just a matter of degree. If you are an ordinary animal, pink liberalism only gets a bite out of you now and then. (But, it still hurts like hell.)

When it evolves into gory red Marxism, or worse, to openly proclaimed Communism, it often takes your life. Meanwhile, “Do what you’re told, believe the propaganda, don’t oppose us, or mess up our kills, and everything will be Utopia.”

Exaggeration? Socialism invariably evolves into murder when things do not work out as the predators require. I invite you to read the superbly well-documented book, Death by Government by R. J. Rummel. In the 20th century alone, over 162,000,000 people were killed by Socialism.
Among them:
61,911,000 Murdered: by Soviet Gulag State
76,702,000 Murdered: by the Communist Chinese
20,946,000 Murdered: by Nazi Genocide State
2,035,000 Murdered: by The Khmer Rouge Hell State
1,670,000 Murdered: by Vietnamese Socialists
1,072,000 Murdered: Tito's socialists

These are a staggering numbers, but only statistics, unless YOU are one of them. And, yes, part of this number was attributed to the bloody 12 years of Nazi rule, but then most sophisticated observers of government know that the “Zi part” of Nazi refers to Socialists.
Except for the brief period that Germany and the Soviets were allied by a treaty, almost all the deaths were wrought by communistic Marxian socialists.

If you are getting confused by all the names that Socialism scams under, just think about bad companies or government entities who obfuscate and change their names every year or so to throw off their victims.

Sometimes the propaganda agents actually reverse the meaning of their terms, so as to make people think they are really the good guys: example, the Red states vs. Blue states nomenclature certainly help fool the people. We wouldn’t want to mix up Democrats with pinko/red socialists, now, would we? “Last year we were Liberals, this year we’ll be Progressives.”

Just as the lions are masters of misdirection and stealth, socialists can never be relied on for “transparency,” except for claiming how openly transparent they are. Usually, things are quite the opposite of what socialists represent. All of this helps the predators and their followers to bigger and better kills.

The laughable part of Socialism is that socialists see it as a system based on morality and compassionate righteousness. “What would Jesus do to help the poor?” Wouldn’t he require that we take care of the downtrodden?”

Are we experiencing real Christian compassion with socialist measures? Would Jesus take your money at sword-point and give it to “His selected poor?” Would Jesus marshal the awesome power of the Roman Empire to enrich himself and his disciples, all in a grand gesture of allowing predators to help their needy constituents?

What is morally correct? Helping others with your personal charity and loving individual attention, or using the dreadful power of a modern state to force everyone (ultimately with a gun) to give to socialist causes.

Capitalists, by contrast, point no guns at your head to get you to buy goods that make them rich.

When government schemes to take money out of your pocket by force, and put it into the pockets of other individuals, this is Socialism. It’s not reasonable taxation for the good of the entire community. It is an unlimited levy taken from you, and used to buy the votes of other individuals to keep socialists in power. Frederic Bastiat (1801-1850) put it succinctly:

“It is impossible to introduce into society a greater change and a greater evil than this: the conversion of the law into an instrument of plunder.”

Our Founding Fathers gave us a remarkable Constitution, which is the antithesis of Socialism. It has brought us more liberty and wealth than the world has ever known. The true American tradition is to follow the original Constitution and just laws. Once the law is bastardized into whatever law it takes to keep parasites in power, when politicians lie under oath that they will preserve and defend the Constitution, we are no longer America.

Sure, those in power have allowed some unscrupulous capitalists to corner some of our markets. They have exploited people. But most of these so-called businessmen use the power of the state, often disguised Socialism or other legal plunder, to rig markets in their favor.

Even then, crony capitalists use no guns and coercion to force others. Only the state can sustain an evil monopoly. Only the state can force you into buying what you do not want, such as health insurance. Only predatory government can do these things on a horrific scale. And the worst of all governments have been Socialist.

The promises of clever socialists, such as Lenin and Castro, never came true. Instead of ridding the people of the flaws of capitalism, they brought about poverty on a grand scale, along with secret police, neighborhood spies, terror, prisons, political executions and other death.

Socialist regimes require severe limitations on free speech, because without these the upside down morality is quickly revealed. Public theft of individual property is exposed. Thugs are identified and lies are uncovered.

Lies are so vital to the existence of Socialism, that it cannot exist without them. Where there is theft on a grand scale, lies are a vital necessity. Where elites take what is not theirs, and murder the weak and innocent, falsehoods are critical to hide what’s really going on. The past is air-brushed or totally misrepresented, the present is fabricated and the future risibly fantasized.

Unless you acknowledge that you are a parasite and a predator, willing to live a life of perpetual lies, Socialism is not the course for you.

Obama vs. Pretty Boy Floyd


The only difference between Obama and Floyd was that Floyd yelled, "Stickem up" before he robbed you. In this last year the greatest theft in the history of mankind occurred. Nearly a trillion dollars were stolen from the American People. We were told that this was to stimulate the economy to prevent further job loss. What it really did was stimulate the pockets of the most corrupt among us. Floyd's downfall was the bad company that he kept. Will the same be true of Obama?

Let us examine how this money was spent. First, nearly two thirds of the money wasn't spent in the first year that it was available, so much for the theory that this was a stimulus bill. Second, the president has told us that this bill saved or created two million jobs. If that is so it saved or created two million Government jobs. It takes approximately seven private sector jobs to sustain one Government job. More taxes will be placed upon us and more jobs will be lost. Those remaining employed will bear a very heavy burden to prop up such an albatross. The private sector continues to shed jobs costing us all. Third, they touted the last quarterly growth figures. Did anyone notice that the only ones with a hooray were Obama and his minions? Obama and friends are saving the stimulus to buy another term for their agenda. If they cared about us they wouldn't have stolen the money in the first place. If Obama truly cares about his people he would return the money to our treasury and call a tax holiday for three months for both businesses and individuals. But alias he doesn't care about us only his agenda. Please understand that our failure spells his success.

Let's not forget our friends the Republicans. They began this great disintegration by going along with Democrats in their race to distribute the wealth of our great nation. Bush and Obama will be mentioned in the same paragraph when describing the greatest economic catastrophe to ensnare the United States. Just remember friends that the Republicans were as gifted in theft as were the Democrats.

The Phantom March


I stood at the entrance to Arlington Cemetery waiting. I noticed some soldiers walking towards me. I didn't pay much attention until the men were quite close. It was then that I saw a very strange sight. The men were wearing uniforms from another time, another place. I thought that I must be seeing things when I began to sense more men around me. I stared as hundreds then thousands of men and women spewed out of the Cemetery. They appeared to drift right by me. I tried to talk but I couldn't. I just stepped in line and joined them.

I followed them across the Potomac and they marched right to the White House. It was dark and cold with signs that said keep out. I saw no one. Could it be abandoned? I did not know. I could see the looks of those near me. They appeared sad and confused. Without a word the crowd began to move. They stopped next at the Capitol building. It too was dark and the doors were chained. I stood on the steps of the Capitol and looked out over the endless movement of those guardians of freedom. I stepped down and fell in line. I was in the company of those that had suffered or died to protect this great nation. I didn't understand how but every war and every service was represented. I was overwhelmed.

The next stop on that mournful march was the Supreme Court. I drifted through the crowd to get a better look. What I saw frightened me. Lady Justice was prostrate on the steps of the Court with a giant Presidential Seal lying on top of her. I stood in that eerie silence wondering how. No answer was forthcoming. The great company began to move again. I hesitated not wanting to see anymore. At that instant I saw my father and uncle who had suffered much on the snowy fields of Belgium. I again joined the procession spell bound.

We were on the Mall walking towards Lincoln's Memorial. I could see some people standing at the top of the steps but couldn't make out what was happening. The crowd parted to allow me to pass. I climbed the steps to witness for myself what was taking place. Then recognition swept over me. There were George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin, standing to the left of a coffin. Opposite them were Abraham Lincoln, John Kennedy, and Martin Luther King. Fearing the coffin and what it held I climbed with trepidation. Hesitation gripped me as I stared into the eyes of those great men. Then shock overwhelmed me. There laid our great flag, the Declaration of Independence, and our beloved Constitution. Slowly they closed the coffin. The procession moved towards the reflection pool that became a great grave. Descending the steps and looking out over the largest gathering that I had ever witnessed was humbling. In all directions stood those who served this great land their numbers were legion.

With great care the coffin was buried and I could see tears in the eyes of those closest to me. I turned and looked up to the top of the Memorial and saw two men and a woman. I recognized all three. They were Saul Alinsky, Richard Clower, and Francis Piven. They had their arms raised to the heavens and three more were standing below them bowing. They were two men and a woman. I could not clearly see them as the scene began to fade and I awoke in great fear.
